Minister Rocco Tjon, on the national day against human trafficking and smuggling, in the halls of Gloria IMAX, along with Prime Minister Mrs. Evelyn Wever Croes, fellow Parliament members

On the national day against human trafficking and smuggling, in the halls of Gloria IMAX, together with Prime Minister Mrs. Evelyn Wever Croes, fellow Parliament members, and other guests from the judicial and social sectors, we witnessed the premiere of the movie ‘On the Other Side of the Road.’ A film produced by the local company Freeway Agency commissioned by the Coordination Center for Human Trafficking and Smuggling of Aruba (CMMA).

It’s a short film that focuses on the phenomenon of human trafficking and smuggling, something that we often don’t think happens in Aruba; however, it’s a global problem and occurs in subtle ways that we might not be aware of. Today, we pay attention once again to this issue.
