The results of the research into the possible connection between guarantors, human trafficking and migrant smuggling, were presented to the honorable Evelyn Wever Croes, Prime Minister, and Rocco Tjon, Minister of Justice and Social Affairs, by Jeannette Richardson Baars, National Coordinator on Human Trafficking and Migrant Smuggling, and Gina Lopez Gnecco, Chain Manager Venezuela, who commissioned the research.

The research was executed by Ingamara Reyes, Regalis Consultancy, and describes the current procedures for guarantors and gaps that can create possibilities for the procedures to be used for illegal labor or exploitation. The results of the research will be used to propose improvements in the procedures for guarantors.
