Coast Guard intercepted a boat with 7 undocumented men

The Coast Guard, in good cooperation with the Aruba Police Force, intercepted a boat with 7 undocumented men.
During the interception of the boat, the patrol boat gave chase, during which the Coast Guard fired warning shots to force the suspicious boat to stop.

Human trafficking / migrant smuggling investigation in “Hanchi”

On tuesday morning in the streets of San Nicolas, Rembrandstraat and “Hanchi”, a judicial entrance took place in which detectives took action together with the human trafficking and smuggling team. This is after complaints came in that sex workers were being abused. There were no arrests made, but future arrests are not excluded. The location was searched and the women were checked for work permits.
